Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from your location in the Seacoast Region and head towards Portsmouth. Use Route 1 or I-95 South. If you're on Route 1, continue until you reach the junction with Route 1 Bypass. Merge onto the Bypass and follow the signs for Portsmouth. Once in Portsmouth, take Exit 7 toward US-1 Bypass/NH-33. Keep following US-1 Bypass until you reach the intersection with Route 1. At the intersection, turn left onto Market Street. Continue straight until you reach Northwest Street, then turn right. Jackson House will be on your right at 76 Northwest St, Portsmouth, NH 03801. Parking is available on the street or in nearby lots, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check the local bus schedules for the COAST (Cooperative Alliance for Seacoast Transportation) bus service. Take the bus to the Portsmouth Transportation Center. From there, you can either walk, which is about a 20-minute stroll, or catch a local taxi. To walk, head south on Hanover Street, then take a left on Market Street. Continue until you reach Northwest Street and turn right. Jackson House will be located at 76 Northwest St, Portsmouth, NH 03801. If you prefer a taxi, expect to pay a fare of around $10-$15 for the short ride.

• Biking

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike, Portsmouth has several bike lanes and paths. Start on the Pease Bike Path if you're coming from the Pease International Tradeport, or use the local bike lanes from wherever you are in the Seacoast Region. Follow the same directions as for walking: head to Market Street, then onto Northwest Street. Jackson House, located at 76 Northwest St, is bike-friendly, and you can lock your bike at nearby bike racks.
