From New Jersey, you can take the George Washington Bridge to the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Continue on the Parkway until Exit 19 for Bear Mountain State Park. Follow the signs for the park, then take Seven Lakes Drive to the zoo, which will be on your left. Parking is available on-site, but be aware there may be a parking fee.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Trailside Museums & Zoo using public transportation, take a NJ Transit train to the Hoboken Terminal. From Hoboken, transfer to the NJ Transit 126 bus towards New York City. Get off at the stop for the Bear Mountain Park. From there, you may need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes along Seven Lakes Drive to reach the zoo.
