Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95). From Central Jersey, the easiest way is to access the Turnpike via Route 1 or Route 130. Take the New Jersey Turnpike and head south towards Exit 7A, which is for I-195 East towards Jackson. After exiting, continue on I-195 East for approximately 10 miles. Take Exit 16B for Route 537 West towards Jackson. Follow Route 537 West for about 2 miles and then turn left onto Six Flags Blvd. Continue on Six Flags Blvd for about half a mile until you reach the entrance of Six Flags Great Adventure, located at 1 Six Flags Blvd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527. Note that parking fees may apply, typically around $30 for a standard vehicle.
Public Transportation
To reach Six Flags Great Adventure using public transportation, take NJ Transit to the nearest train station, which is the Jackson station. From Central Jersey, you can take a train from New Brunswick or other nearby stations on the North Jersey Coast Line. Once you arrive at Jackson station, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to cover the remaining distance of approximately 7 miles. This taxi ride could cost around $20-$30 depending on traffic. Be sure to check the NJ Transit schedule in advance for train times, as service may be limited on weekends.
