    If you are driving, start by getting onto I-287 N from wherever you are in Central Jersey. After about 10-15 minutes, take exit 14 for US-22 E toward Somerville. Continue on US-22 E for approximately 3 miles. Then, take the exit toward Watchung Ave. In about 1 mile, turn left onto Watchung Ave, and after 0.5 miles, turn right onto Rock Road E. Washington Rock State Park will be on your right at 16 Rock Rd E, Watchung, NJ 07096. There is no entry fee for the park.

    For public transportation, you can take NJ Transit train service to the 'Bound Brook' station from various locations in Central Jersey. Once you arrive at Bound Brook, take the NJ Transit bus number 65 towards 'Dunellen' and get off at the 'Watchung Ave at Rock Rd' stop.
