From High Point State Park, take NJ-23 South. Continue on NJ-23 South for approximately 12 miles until you reach the exit for I-80 East. Merge onto I-80 East and continue for about 15 miles. Take exit 15W for NJ-3 West towards Clifton. Merge onto NJ-3 West and continue for about 5 miles. Take the exit towards NJ-17 South. Merge onto NJ-17 South and then take exit 66 for NJ-17 South towards Lyndhurst. Continue on NJ-17 South for about 1.5 miles, then take a left onto DeKorte Park Drive where you will see signs for Richard W. DeKorte Park.

From High Point State Park, you will need to first take a taxi or rideshare to the nearest NJ Transit train station, which is at Newton Station (approximately 12 miles away). From Newton Station, take the NJ Transit train on the Morristown Line towards Hoboken. Get off at Secaucus Junction. From Secaucus Junction, transfer to the NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line and get off at Lyndhurst Station. From Lyndhurst Station, you can take local buses (NJ Transit bus #76) towards DeKorte Park, which is about a 10-minute ride.
