Walking
Start from Lambertville's Main Street. Head south on Main St toward Bridge St. Continue onto Bridge St, crossing the Delaware River via the bridge into New Hope, PA. Once in New Hope, follow the signs to the New Hope-Lambertville Toll Bridge and continue on Bridge St. Turn left onto N Main St and follow it until you reach the New Hope train station. From there, take the NJ Transit train towards Philadelphia. Get off at the 30th Street Station. From the station, transfer to the Market-Frankford Line (Blue Line) towards Frankford and get off at 15th Street Station. Finally, walk east on Market St, then turn left on 5th St; the American Philosophical Society will be on your left at 104 S 5th St.

From Lambertville, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Main St. Catch the NJ Transit bus #629 towards Trenton. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Trenton Transit Center. From the Transit Center, take the NJ Transit train to Philadelphia. Once in Philadelphia, get off at 30th Street Station and take the Market-Frankford Line (Blue Line) to 15th Street Station. Walk east on Market St, then turn left on 5th St; the American Philosophical Society will be located at 104 S 5th St.
