    From Paterson, take NJ Transit Bus # 86 towards New York Port Authority Bus Terminal. Once you arrive at the Port Authority, exit the terminal and walk to 8th Avenue. From there, catch the MTA Subway Line 1, 2, or 3 towards Lower Manhattan and get off at 14th Street Station. Transfer to the L train towards Brooklyn and get off at 1st Avenue Station. Walk east towards Lafayette Street, and you'll find The Public Theater located at 425 Lafayette St.
