To reach Explora Science Center and Children's Museum of Albuquerque via public bus, start by locating the nearest bus stop that services the ABQ RIDE system. You can use the ABQ RIDE website or a transit app to find the closest stop. Board a bus heading towards the downtown area. The most commonly used route is the Rapid Ride Blue Line (Route 775) which connects various parts of the city to downtown. Get off at the 'Central @ 12th' stop. From there, transfer to Bus Route 66 (Candelaria) and ride until you reach the 'Mountain @ 17th' stop. Once you disembark, walk a short distance west on Mountain Rd NW, and you will arrive at 1701 Mountain Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104.

If you prefer to bike, Albuquerque has a network of bike paths and lanes. Start at your location and navigate to the nearest bike path that heads toward the Sawmill area. Use a bike map or a navigation app to find the best route. The bike ride should take you through the scenic areas of the city. Once you reach Mountain Rd NW, head east until you arrive at 1701 Mountain Rd NW. There is bike parking available near the entrance of Explora.

For those who are within walking distance, simply head towards Mountain Rd NW. If you are near Old Town Albuquerque, walk north through the Sawmill District, following the signs for Mountain Rd NW. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from Old Town. As you walk, you will pass various shops and eateries. Once you reach Mountain Rd NW, head west for a few blocks until you arrive at 1701 Mountain Rd NW.
