If you are traveling by car, head towards Santa Fe, NM. From the center of Santa Fe, take Old Pecos Trail (NM-592) north. Continue for about 1.5 miles, then turn left onto the road leading to the Dale Ball Trails parking area. The parking lot is located at the intersection of Cerro Gordo Road and Dale Ball Trailhead. There is no parking fee, but the area can get busy, so arrive early.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can use the Santa Fe Trails bus service. Take the bus route that goes towards the Museum Hill area. Once you reach the stop closest to the Dale Ball Trails, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to the trailhead. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for the most current routes and times.
