    To reach Living Desert Zoo & Gardens State Park from Carlsbad Caverns National Park, start by exiting the park via the main entrance. Head southeast on NM-7 S for approximately 8 miles until you reach the intersection with US-62/US-180. Turn left onto US-62/US-180 E and continue for about 10 miles. Then, take the exit toward Carlsbad. Merge onto Skyline Rd and continue straight for 2 miles. The park will be on your left at 1504 Skyline Rd, Carlsbad, NM 88220. Parking at the zoo is available and typically free.
