Getting There

  • Car

    From the Visitor Center at Chaco Culture National Historical Park, take the main park road (Chaco Road) heading east. Continue for approximately 5 miles. Look for the sign for Penasco Blanco Trailhead on your left. Turn left into the parking area. The trailhead is located just off the parking area.

  • Walking

    Once you have parked at the Penasco Blanco Trailhead parking area, you can access the trailhead directly from the parking lot. Follow the marked trail signs which will guide you along the Penasco Blanco Trail. The trail is well maintained and begins near the parking area.
