If you are starting from the Los Alamos Visitor Center located at 475 20th St, Los Alamos, NM 87544, exit the center and head east on 20th St. Continue walking until you reach Central Ave. Cross Central Ave and continue straight onto 15th St. Follow 15th St until you reach the intersection with Los Alamos Mesa Trail. The East Park Trailhead will be located along this trail, marked by signage indicating the trailhead. It is approximately a 25-minute walk.

From downtown Los Alamos, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop. Start from the Los Alamos County Library at 185 20th St. Head east on 20th St until you reach Central Ave. Turn left onto Central Ave and then take the first right onto 15th St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Los Alamos Mesa Trail.
