    If you're traveling by car within Rio Grande Valley, start by heading to NM-68 N. Once on NM-68 N, continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach the intersection with NM-502 E. Take the exit towards Los Alamos, and merge onto NM-502 E. Continue on NM-502 E for about 20 miles, following the signs for Los Alamos. As you enter Los Alamos, turn left onto NM-4 N, and continue for about 5 miles. Look for the signs to Bandelier National Monument. Park at the visitor center, where you will need to pay a fee of $25 for a vehicle (valid for 7 days). From the visitor center, take the shuttle bus to Alcove House. The shuttle runs regularly but check the schedule ahead of time.

    If using public transportation, your best option is to take a bus from nearby cities to Los Alamos. Once you arrive at the Los Alamos town center, you will have to take a taxi or rideshare service to the Bandelier National Monument visitor center, which is approximately 10 miles away. At the visitor center, you will pay an entrance fee of $25 for a vehicle. After entering, take the shuttle bus that goes directly to Alcove House.
