From any location in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, navigate to US-285 N. If you're starting from Taos, take NM-68 N to reach US-285. Once on US-285, head north for approximately 40 miles until you reach the junction with NM-120. Turn left onto NM-120 and continue for about 12 miles. As you approach Toltec Gorge, keep an eye out for signs indicating the gorge and parking areas. The gorge is located near the area of New Mexico 87575.
