Car
If you are starting from a central location in Santa Fe, head northeast on St. Francis Drive (NM-285) and continue for about 2 miles. Turn left onto East Zia Road and follow it for approximately 1.5 miles. Then, turn right onto Old Santa Fe Trail. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the entrance to the Dale Ball Trails parking area, which is located on the left side. Parking is free, but be sure to arrive early, as spaces can fill up quickly.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Santa Fe Trails bus service. Board Route 2 (Cerrillos Road), which runs frequently throughout the day. You will need to get off at the stop near the intersection of Old Santa Fe Trail and Zia Road. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to the Dale Ball Trails parking area. Head north on Old Santa Fe Trail, and you will see the signage for the Dale Ball Trails parking on your right.

If you prefer cycling, you can bike from downtown Santa Fe. Start on Water Street heading south, then take a left onto Cerrillos Road. Continue until you reach Zia Road, where you will turn right. Follow Zia Road until you reach Old Santa Fe Trail, where you will turn right again. The Dale Ball Trails parking area will be on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules. There are no fees for parking your bicycle in the designated area.
