If you're starting from the Santa Fe Plaza, head southeast on Lincoln Avenue towards the intersection with Water Street. Turn left onto Water Street, and continue walking until you reach the intersection with South Capitol Street. Turn right onto South Capitol Street, and the New Mexico State Capitol will be on your left at 411 S Capitol St. The walk should take about 15 minutes.

From the Santa Fe Depot, take the NM Rail Runner Express bus that connects to local transit. Board the bus going towards the downtown area. Get off at the stop labeled 'South Capitol Station'. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk: head south on South Capitol Street, and the New Mexico State Capitol will be at 411 S Capitol St on your left.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop near the Santa Fe Plaza. Head south on Lincoln Avenue, then turn left onto Water Street.
