Car
If you are driving from Taos Ski Valley, head southwest on NM-150 S for about 12 miles. Once you reach the intersection with NM-522, turn left onto NM-522 S. Continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach Questa. From Questa, turn right onto Forest Rd 134. Follow the road for about 3 miles, and you will arrive at Spanish Mine, which is located at the end of Forest Rd 134. Be aware that some sections of the road may be unpaved, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.

Public transportation options are limited. You can take the Taos Express from Taos Ski Valley to Taos. From the Taos Plaza, you can catch a local shuttle or taxi service to Questa. Once in Questa, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare to take you to Forest Rd 134, as public transport does not reach this area. The total cost for the Taos Express is approximately $10 round trip, while taxi services may vary in price depending on the distance.
