Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the Elephant Butte stop. From there, it's a short walk south to NM-195. Follow the road for about 0.5 miles, and you will see the entrance to Elephant Butte Lake State Park on your left.

If you have a bicycle, start from the center of Truth or Consequences and head east on Main Street. Continue until you reach NM-195. Turn left onto NM-195 and follow it for approximately 4 miles. The park entrance will be on your left. Please be cautious of traffic along NM-195.

For those who prefer to walk, start at the city center and walk east along Main Street until you reach NM-195. You will need to walk about 4 miles along the shoulder of the road. Once you reach NM-195, turn left, and the entrance to Elephant Butte Lake State Park will be about 0.5 miles down the road on your left.
