Whimsical Rides at the Adirondack Carousel

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to the Adirondack Carousel from Lake Placid, head southwest on NY-86 W for about 10 miles. After passing through Ray Brook, turn right onto NY-3 W. Continue for approximately 3 miles until you reach Saranac Lake. As you enter Saranac Lake, keep an eye out for Depot Street on your left. Turn left onto Depot Street, and the Adirondack Carousel will be located on your right at 2 Depot St. There is parking available close to the attraction.

• Public Transportation

  If you're traveling by public transportation, take the Adirondack Trailways bus from Lake Placid to Saranac Lake. The bus will drop you off at the Saranac Lake train station. From the station, walk south on Depot Street for about 0.3 miles (approximately 7 minutes on foot). The Adirondack Carousel will be on your left at 2 Depot St, just after you pass the intersection with Main Street.

• Car

  From Ticonderoga, take NY-74 E for about 25 miles until you reach the junction with NY-9N. Turn left onto NY-9N N and continue for about 10 miles. Then, turn right onto NY-3 E and follow the signs to Saranac Lake. As you enter the town, look for Depot Street on your right. Turn right onto Depot Street, and you will find the Adirondack Carousel located at 2 Depot St.

• Car

  If you're coming from Plattsburgh, take I-87 S (the Adirondack Northway) and exit at 34 (US-9). Turn left onto US-9 S and continue for about 6 miles. Merge right onto NY-3 W and follow it for about 25 miles to Saranac Lake. Once you reach Saranac Lake, turn left at the first traffic light onto Depot Street. The Adirondack Carousel will be on your right at 2 Depot St.
