    From the center of Lake Placid, start at the intersection of Main Street and Park Avenue. Head south on Park Avenue until you reach the intersection with NY-86. Turn left onto NY-86 and continue walking. After about 4 miles (approximately 1 hour), you'll see the sign for High Falls Gorge on your right. The entrance is located at 4761 NY-86, Wilmington, NY 12997.

    Rent a bike from a local shop in Lake Placid. Start at the corner of Main Street and Park Avenue, then head south on Park Avenue until you reach NY-86. Turn left onto NY-86 and cycle for about 4 miles. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Look for the sign for High Falls Gorge on your right, the entrance is at 4761 NY-86, Wilmington, NY 12997.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    Check the local bus schedule for the Roaming Adirondack bus service. Board the bus at the designated stops in Lake Placid.
