Car
If you're driving from New York City, take the I-87 N (New York State Thruway) from Manhattan. Follow signs for I-87 N toward Albany. After about 30 miles, take exit 9A toward Tarrytown. Merge onto Route 119 and follow the signs toward Sleepy Hollow. Once in Sleepy Hollow, follow the local signs to Tarrytown Light-Kingsland Point Path. Parking is available near the lighthouse, but be mindful of any parking fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse via public transportation, take the Metro-North Railroad from Grand Central Terminal to Tarrytown Station. The trip takes about 40 minutes.
