Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-81 N from your location in Central New York. Follow I-81 N to Exit 31 for NY-104 toward Mexico. Merge onto NY-104 W and continue for about 7 miles. When you reach the town of Mexico, take a right onto County Route 40. Follow County Route 40 for approximately 2 miles, and you'll find Mexico Point State Park on your left. Parking is available at the park entrance, and there are no additional fees for parking.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus or a local transit service to the nearby town of Mexico. Once you arrive in Mexico, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to get to Mexico Point State Park, as public transport does not go directly to the park. The distance from the town center to the park is about 3 miles, and taxi fares may range from $10 to $15 depending on the service and time of day.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can access Mexico Point State Park by bike. Use the same route as by car, following NY-104 W to County Route 40. There are bike lanes available on some parts of NY-104, but be sure to ride safely and be aware of traffic. The park has bike racks where you can secure your bicycle once you arrive. Bring water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the route.
