The most common ferry service is from Sayville Ferry Service, which operates ferries from Fire Island communities to Sayville. Once you arrive in Sayville, follow these steps: 1. Head northwest on Main Street toward the Long Island Expressway (I-495). 2. Merge onto I-495 W and continue on the expressway for about 12 miles. 3. Take exit 53 for NY-27 S toward The Hamptons. 4. Merge onto NY-27 S and continue for about 6 miles. 5. Take exit 50 toward Montauk Highway/West Sayville. 6. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Montauk Highway. 7. Continue straight for about 1 mile and then turn right onto West Avenue. 8. The Long Island Maritime Museum will be on your left at 88 West Ave, West Sayville, NY 11796.
