Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the New York State Route 27 (Sunrise Highway). Take exit 38 for NY-27A toward Babylon. Follow NY-27A West and then take the right exit onto NY-109 South. Continue on NY-109 South until it merges into Babylon Village. Follow the signs to Overlook Beach, located at Gilgo Beach. The beach is approximately 10 miles from the highway exit. Please note that there may be parking fees, typically around $10 per vehicle.

Public Transportation
To reach Overlook Beach using public transportation, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from Penn Station or other locations to the Babylon station. Once you arrive at Babylon station, transfer to a Suffolk County Transit bus (S40 or S41) heading towards Gilgo Beach. The bus will take you to the stop closest to Overlook Beach. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the latest times, as service may vary. A one-way fare on the bus is approximately $2.75.
