If you're traveling by car from anywhere in the Leatherstocking Region, start by heading towards NY-28 S. Follow NY-28 S until you reach I-88 E. Merge onto I-88 E and continue until you see signs for I-87 S/New York City. Take I-87 S and then exit onto I-495 E toward Long Island. Follow the signs for the Midtown Tunnel into Manhattan. Once you're in Manhattan, take the exit toward 34th St and follow signs to get to 10th Ave. Continue on 10th Ave until you reach West 30th St, then turn left. The High Line entrance is at 30th St and 10th Ave. Be aware of potential toll costs when traveling through the tunnel, which can vary based on the time of day.

For those using public transportation, start by taking the nearest train station to your location in the Leatherstocking Region. If you're near Cooperstown, you can take a train from the nearest station to Albany-Rensselaer Amtrak station. Once at Albany-Rensselaer, take an Amtrak train to Penn Station in New York City. From Penn Station, exit and head to the 34th St-Penn Station subway station. Take the A, C, or E train downtown to 14th St, then transfer to the L train towards Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy. Get off at 8th Ave and walk south to West 30th St to reach The High Line. The cost for the Amtrak ticket varies, and subway rides in NYC cost $2.75 each.

Once you arrive at the bus terminal in NYC, the easiest way to get to The High Line is to take a local subway.
