Travel Guide to Archery Field Overlook

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the Main Entrance of Letchworth State Park. Head south on Park Road for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with Denton Corners Road. Turn left onto Denton Corners Road. After approximately 0.3 miles, you will see the Archery Field Overlook parking area on your right. Park your car and walk a short distance to the overlook for stunning views of the Genesee River Gorge.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest stop outside Letchworth State Park. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you into the park. Once inside the park, follow the directions provided for car travel. Note that there may be an entrance fee to the park, which is typically around $10 per vehicle. Ensure you have cash or a credit card for this fee.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bicycle within Letchworth State Park, you can access the park via the main entrance. Once inside, follow Park Road south for about 3 miles. When you reach the intersection with Denton Corners Road, turn left and continue for about 0.3 miles. There are bike racks available at the Archery Field Overlook where you can securely park your bicycle while you enjoy the view.

• Walking

  If you are camping or staying at a nearby lodge within Letchworth State Park, you can walk to Archery Field Overlook. Depending on your starting point, you may need to follow Park Road for approximately 3 miles, then turn left onto Denton Corners Road. The overlook is a short walk from the road, offering a scenic route through the park's natural beauty.
