Getting There

• Public Transportation (Train)

  From any location in Long Island, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to the Merrick Station. Ensure you check the train schedules in advance for accuracy. Once you arrive at the Merrick Station, exit the station and head south on Merrick Avenue until you reach Merrick Road. Turn left onto Merrick Road and continue walking east for approximately 0.5 miles. Norman J. Levy Park & Preserve will be on your left at 1600 Merrick Rd, Merrick, NY 11566.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  If you are near a bus stop, you can take the Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE) Bus. Check the NICE Bus routes for the nearest stop to your location and take the bus that goes towards Merrick. You can take the n24 or n45 lines, which will stop close to Merrick Road. Once you disembark at the closest stop, walk towards Merrick Road and head east until you reach 1600 Merrick Rd, Merrick, NY 11566, which is the entrance to Norman J. Levy Park & Preserve.

• Biking

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop or use a bike-sharing service available across Long Island. Use a bike GPS app to navigate to Merrick Road. Once on Merrick Road, head east until you arrive at 1600 Merrick Rd, Merrick, NY 11566. There are bike racks available for parking your bike at the park.

  If you are staying in Merrick or nearby, you can walk to the park. Simply navigate to Merrick Avenue and head south until you reach Merrick Road. From there, walk east along Merrick Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance of Norman J. Levy Park & Preserve at 1600 Merrick Rd, Merrick, NY 11566.
