Getting There

  • Train

    Start your journey by taking the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from your nearest station towards the Babylon or Montauk branch. If you are in New York City, you can catch the LIRR from Penn Station. Your destination station will be Wantagh. Once you arrive at Wantagh station, exit the train and head towards the south exit of the station.

  • Bus

    After exiting Wantagh station, locate the bus stop at the south exit. Take the N70 or N71 bus towards Jones Beach. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as it may vary. Ride the bus until you reach the Jones Beach State Park entrance. From there, you will need to walk to the Jones Beach Water Tower, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.
