After approximately 250 miles, take exit 15 for the George Washington Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the signs for I-95 South towards the Bronx. Merge onto I-495 East towards Queens, and then take the exit for the Midtown Tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, continue straight onto 34th Street, where you will find the Empire State Building at 20 W 34th St. Parking is available nearby, but expect to pay around $20-$40 for parking depending on the duration.

For budget travelers, take a Greyhound or Megabus from a nearby town in North Country to New York City. The trip may take approximately 5-7 hours. Upon arrival at the bus terminal in NYC, you can walk or take a local subway. If walking, head to 34th Street and walk west until you reach the Empire State Building. If you prefer the subway, take the PATH train or the MTA subway to the 33rd Street station, which is a short walk to the building. A bus ticket can cost around $30-$50 one way.

You can also opt to take an Amtrak train from Plattsburgh or another nearby station to Penn Station in Manhattan. The journey takes about 4-5 hours. After arriving at Penn Station, follow the signs to the 34th Street exit. Walk east on 34th Street for about 5-10 minutes to reach the Empire State Building at 20 W 34th St. Train fares vary but typically range from $40-$100 depending on the time of booking and class.
