Getting There

  • Bus

    From Yonkers, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the BxM4C express bus to Midtown Manhattan. The bus will take you through the scenic areas of the Bronx and drop you off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there, you can walk to the Civic Center, which is located in Lower Manhattan. Simply walk south on 8th Avenue, turn left on W 42nd Street, and then turn right on 6th Avenue to reach the Civic Center.

  • Train

    Take the Metro-North Railroad from Yonkers Station. Board the Hudson Line train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and head towards the nearby subway station for the 4, 5, or 6 trains. Take the 4 or 5 train downtown to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station. From there, it's a short walk to the Civic Center, located at the corner of Chambers Street and Centre Street.

  • Walking

    If you are staying in central Yonkers, you can walk to the Civic Center via the Hudson River waterfront. Start at the Yonkers Pier and follow the waterfront path south until you reach the Yonkers train station. From there, take a train to Grand Central Terminal and follow the subway instructions mentioned above, or simply walk from Grand Central as described.

    From Yonkers, take the Metro-North to Grand Central Terminal. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the subway and take the 4, 5, or 6 train downtown. Get off at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station. Exit the station and walk east on Chambers Street; the Civic Center will be on your right.
