If you are starting from downtown Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North Railroad station. From there, take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. After about a 30-minute ride, disembark at the Grand Central Terminal station in Manhattan. Once at Grand Central, follow the signs to the 42nd Street subway station and take the 7 train towards Flushing. After one stop, switch to the E train towards World Trade Center and ride it until you reach the 42nd Street - Port Authority Bus Terminal. Finally, transfer to the A, C, or E subway line to reach 42nd Street and 8th Avenue, then walk west to 8th Avenue and W 42nd Street to find Sesame St.

These buses will take you to the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal. From there, transfer to the MTA bus M4 or M5 which will take you down to 8th Avenue. Get off at the 42nd Street stop, then walk a short distance west to Sesame St.
