Start by taking a bus from downtown Auckland. Head to the Britomart Transport Centre and look for bus routes 474 or 474X, which head towards the West. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. Get off at the 'Scenic Drive' stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along Scenic Drive. Follow the road as it winds through the lush greenery until you reach Parkinson Lookout at 551 Scenic Drive.

If you are near the Auckland Domain, you can start your journey from there. Walk towards the Southern Motorway and head towards Epsom. Once you reach Manukau Road, you can catch a bus heading towards 'West' until you can transfer to Scenic Drive. After getting off, it’s about a 30-minute walk uphill to Parkinson Lookout. Enjoy the views along the way as you make your way to the top.

Bicycle
If you're up for an adventure, consider cycling to Parkinson Lookout. Rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Auckland. Head towards the Western Springs area and follow the cycle paths that lead towards Scenic Drive. The ride is approximately 10 kilometers and will take you through some beautiful parks and residential areas. You'll eventually reach Scenic Drive, where you can park your bike and walk the last bit to Parkinson Lookout.
