Getting There

• Walking

  If you are already in the Auckland CBD, Aotea Square is easily accessible on foot. Head towards Queen Street, which is the main thoroughfare in the CBD. Walk north on Queen Street, passing shops and cafes on either side. Aotea Square will be on your left, located at 291-297 Queen Street. Look for the large open plaza area, which is a popular gathering spot.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  For those further away in the CBD, you can catch a bus to Aotea Square. Locate the nearest bus stop and check the schedule for buses heading towards the 'Auckland City' direction. Buses that stop at Aotea Square include the 10, 11, and 12 routes. The fare is approximately NZD 2.50 to NZD 4.50 depending on your starting point. Once you arrive at the Aotea Square bus stop, you will see the square immediately as you exit the bus.

• Public Transport (Train)

  If you are near a train station, take a train to Britomart Station, which is the main transport hub in Auckland. From Britomart, exit the station and walk towards Queen Street. Head up Queen Street for about 10 minutes, and you will reach Aotea Square on your left. The train fare varies based on the distance but typically ranges from NZD 3.00 to NZD 6.00.

• Cycling

  For those who prefer cycling, there are bike rental services available around the CBD. Rent a bike and follow the bike lanes leading towards Queen Street. Cycle north on Queen Street until you reach Aotea Square. There are bike racks available near the square for parking. Rental costs can vary, typically around NZD 5.00 to NZD 10.00 per hour.
