After about 10-15 minutes of walking, you will reach Quay Street. Continue walking straight until you see the Ferry Building at 107 Quay Street. It’s a beautiful historic building located right next to the water, making it a pleasant stroll.

Public Transport - Bus
If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch a bus from various stops in the CBD. Look for bus routes that head towards the waterfront or the ferry terminals. You can board a bus at stops on Albert Street or Victoria Street West. Buses typically run every 15-30 minutes, and you will need an AT HOP card, which can be purchased at many convenience stores. The fare will usually be around NZD 2.50 to NZD 5.00, depending on your starting point. Get off the bus at the 'Downtown Ferry Terminal' stop, which is within walking distance to the Ferry Building.

You can also take a train to get close to the Ferry Building. Head to the nearest train station, either Britomart or Grafton. From Britomart, which is the main station in the CBD, you can catch a train on the Eastern Line towards Manukau or Papakura. Alight at the 'Britomart' station, which is just a short 5-minute walk to the Ferry Building. Exit the station and head towards Quay Street, walking straight until you arrive at the Ferry Building. Tickets cost around NZD 4.00 with an AT HOP card.
