Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the heart of Auckland's CBD, the Ferry Building is easily accessible by foot. Start at the Aotea Square and head southeast towards Wellesley Street. Continue straight until you reach Queen Street. Take a right on Queen Street and walk down until you reach the waterfront. Follow the waterfront promenade along Quay Street, and you'll see the Ferry Building at 107 Quay Street, Auckland 1010, which is just a short walk from the main shopping areas.

• Public Bus

  Catch a bus from one of the many stops in the CBD. Look for buses heading towards the Waterfront or Britomart. You can board from stops on Victoria Street, Federal Street, or Queen Street. Make sure to check the bus number and route on the bus signage. The fare for a single trip is approximately NZD 2.50 to 5.00. Get off at the 'Britomart' stop and walk a short distance down to the Quay, where the Ferry Building is located.

• Train

  You can take a train from any of the central Auckland train stations (like Britomart or Grafton) that go towards the Britomart transport hub. The fare is around NZD 4.00 for a one-way ticket. Once you arrive at Britomart Station, exit towards the waterfront, and walk along Quay Street for about 5 minutes until you reach the Ferry Building.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a quicker option, consider using a taxi or rideshare service like Uber. Simply request a ride to 'Ferry Building, Quay Street'. The fare will vary based on traffic but expect to pay around NZD 10-20 from most locations within the CBD. This option is convenient, especially if traveling with luggage.
