If you're starting from the Dunedin city center, head to the Exchange bus stop. Take the bus number 1 or 2 towards the North Dunedin area. The journey takes about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'Royal Terrace' stop. From there, walk up Royal Terrace, and after a short 5-minute walk, you will find Olveston Historic Home at 42 Royal Terrace on your left.

If you're already in the central part of Dunedin, you can walk to Olveston Historic Home. Start at the Octagon, and head north on George Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with St. David Street. Turn left onto St. David Street and then right onto Royal Terrace. Continue walking for about 15-20 minutes, and you will see Olveston Historic Home at 42 Royal Terrace on your right.
