If you are travelling by car, start from Te Anau, which is approximately 70 kilometers away from Key Summit Trail. Head northwest on State Highway 94 towards Milford Sound. After about 35 kilometers, look for the sign for the Routeburn Track car park on your left, just before the Divide. Turn left into the car park. From there, follow the marked trail signs to the Key Summit Track. The journey should take around 1 hour.
