Getting There

• Walking

  Starting from the Central Hamilton area, head east towards Victoria Street. Walk along Victoria Street until you reach the intersection with Grey Street. Turn left onto Grey Street and continue walking until you reach the end of the street. Here, you will find the Hamilton East area. Continue straight onto Beale Street. Beale Cottage is located at 11 Beale Street, which will be on your left. The total walking distance is approximately 2 kilometers and should take around 25 minutes.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the Central Hamilton area, locate the nearest bus stop that services the local bus routes. Board a bus heading towards Hamilton East. Depending on the bus service you choose, ask the driver for the nearest stop to Beale Street. Once you alight, walk towards Beale Street, which should be a short distance from the bus stop. Look for 11 Beale Street where Beale Cottage is located. Bus fares vary, so prepare a few coins or a transport card to cover this cost, which is usually around NZD 2-5.
