Walking
From the Kaikoura Visitor Centre, head south on West End towards Beach Road. Turn right onto Beach Road and continue walking until you reach the Esplanade. Follow the Esplanade along the coastline, enjoying the views of the ocean. Keep walking until you reach the Kaikoura Peninsula track entrance, which will be on your left. This track will lead you to the stunning viewpoints around the peninsula.

Biking
Starting from the Kaikoura town centre, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Head south on West End and turn right onto Beach Road. Follow Beach Road along the coast. When you reach the Esplanade, continue biking until you find the entrance to the Kaikoura Peninsula track on your left. The bike ride is scenic and will take you directly to the track leading around the peninsula.

Take the local bus service that runs through Kaikoura. Board the bus heading towards the Kaikoura Peninsula. The bus will drop you off at the nearest stop to the peninsula entrance.
