    From Masterton, head to the Masterton Bus Station located at 5-7 Chapel Street. You can catch a bus to Wellington and ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection of State Highway 2 and Ica Road. Once you arrive at the intersection, you will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers along Ica Road towards the Whareama Coastal Walk. Follow the road until you reach the entrance at 268 Ica Road.

    If you prefer to walk from Masterton to the Whareama Coastal Walk, start from the Masterton town center and head east toward Park Avenue. Continue along Park Avenue until you reach State Highway 2. Turn right onto State Highway 2 and walk north for about 10 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Ica Road. From there, turn left onto Ica Road and walk approximately 5 kilometers until you arrive at the entrance of the Whareama Coastal Walk at 268 Ica Road.
