Car
If you are driving from Whangarei, take State Highway 1 northbound. Continue on this highway for approximately 2 hours until you reach the turn-off for State Highway 11 towards Paihia. Follow State Highway 11 for about 25 minutes until you arrive in Paihia. Once in Paihia, look for Paihia School Road. Turn onto Paihia School Road and follow it until you reach the parking area. There are no parking fees, but be aware of local parking regulations.

Public Transportation
To reach Paihia via public transport, take a bus from Auckland to Paihia. The bus ride takes approximately 5 hours. Once you arrive at the Paihia bus terminal, you can either walk to Paihia School Road (around 15 minutes on foot) or catch a local taxi for a more convenient option, costing around NZD 10-15. After reaching Paihia School Road, follow the road to the lookout, which is a short walk from the main road.

If you are already in Paihia and wish to walk to the lookout, head towards Paihia School Road, which is located near the Paihia playground. The walk up to the lookout is relatively short and takes about 10-15 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path may be steep in some areas.
