    From Whangarei, take State Highway 1 south towards Auckland. After approximately 27 km, take the exit onto State Highway 14 towards Dargaville. Continue on SH14 for about 52 km until you reach the junction with State Highway 12. Turn left onto SH12 and follow it for about 12 km until you reach Maungaturoto. In Maungaturoto, follow the signs to Piroa Falls. The falls are located a short drive away from the town center, and you can park at the designated area near the track entrance.

    From Whangarei, take a bus heading to Dargaville. This will be the 'Northern Bus' service. Make sure to check the schedule in advance as services may not run frequently.
