    If you are located in Taupo town center, start at the Taupo i-SITE Visitor Centre on Tongariro Street. Exit the i-SITE and head south towards the lakefront. Continue walking straight along the lakefront pathway. You will pass several parks and the scenic views of Lake Taupo. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach Redoubt Street. Turn left onto Redoubt Street and walk for approximately 200 meters. The Sail Barbary eco-sailing departure point is located at Berths 9 & 10 on Redoubt Street, right by the water.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From Taupo town center, you can take a local bus service that runs to the lakefront area. Board a bus that heads towards the lakefront, and get off at the stop nearest to the lake. Once you exit the bus, walk towards the lake, and then follow the lakefront pathway heading towards Redoubt Street. Walk along the pathway for about 1 kilometer, then turn left onto Redoubt Street. Continue walking for another 200 meters, and you will find the Sail Barbary eco-sailing at Berths 9 & 10.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Taupo. Begin your ride from the town center and head towards the lakefront. Follow the designated cycle paths along the lake for about 1 kilometer until you reach Redoubt Street. Turn left onto Redoubt Street. After cycling for about 200 meters, you will arrive at Berths 9 & 10, where the Sail Barbary eco-sailing departs.
