Walking
From the Taupo town center, start at the Taupo i-SITE Visitor Information Centre located at 30 Tongariro Street. Head east on Tongariro Street towards Lake Taupo, then turn left onto the lakeside path. Continue along the path until you reach the intersection with Lake Terrace. Cross Lake Terrace, and continue walking straight. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the intersection with Napier-Taupo Road (State Highway 5). Turn left onto Napier-Taupo Road, and follow it for about 2 kilometers. You will see Taupo DeBretts Spa Resort on your right at 76 Napier-Taupo Road.
