Getting There

Walking
If you're in central Wanaka, start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre on Ardmore Street. Head east on Ardmore Street towards the lake, then turn right onto the lakeside path. Walk along the path until you reach the corner of the lake where it meets the main road, Albert Town-Lake Hawea Road. Follow this road south for approximately 1.5 km until you reach the junction with State Highway 6. Cross the highway at the designated pedestrian crossing and continue south along the road. After about 1 km, you will see Melmore Terrace on your left. Turn onto Melmore Terrace, and Sequoia will be on your left side after a short walk.

Public Transport
From central Wanaka, head to the nearest bus stop on Ardmore Street near the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre. Board the bus heading towards Cromwell. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Cromwell, disembark at the Cromwell bus station. From there, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to Sequoia. Head east on Melmore Terrace from the bus station, and Sequoia will be on your right side.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Wanaka. Start from the Wanaka lakefront and take the bike path that runs along the lake, heading south. Continue along the path until you reach Albert Town-Lake Hawea Road. Turn onto this road and cycle south for approximately 2.5 km. When you reach the junction with State Highway 6, you can safely cross at the pedestrian crossing. Continue cycling for another kilometer until you find Melmore Terrace on your left. Turn left onto Melmore Terrace, and Sequoia will be on your left after a short ride.
