Getting There

Car

If you are traveling by car, start from Agadez, which is the closest major city to the Aïr Mountains. Take Route N1 heading north and follow signs for the Aïr Mountains. After approximately 50 km, you will reach the entrance of the Aïr Mountains National Park. Continue driving for another 70 km, and you will arrive at the base of Asia, which is located at latitude 14.59 and longitude 7.8013889. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for off-road driving, as some paths may be rugged.
Public Transportation

To reach Asia via public transportation, take a bush taxi or shared minibus from Agadez to the Aïr Mountains. These vehicles depart regularly from the Agadez bus station. Inform the driver that you are heading to the Aïr Mountains National Park. The fare is approximately 2,000 CFA francs. Upon arrival at the park entrance, you can hire a local guide for about 5,000 CFA francs to help you navigate the last segment of the journey to Asia. The guide will take you on foot or by 4x4 vehicle, depending on the terrain and your preference.
