From Barup Waterfall, head east on the main road towards the Ajaokuta-Bauchi highway (A234). Continue on this highway for about 50 kilometers until you reach the town of Mainamaji. Once in Mainamaji, follow the signs directing you to Yankari Game Reserve. The entrance to the reserve is well-marked and will be on your right.

If you're using public transportation, go to the main bus terminal in Barup Waterfall and take a bus heading towards Bauchi. Inform the driver that you are going to Mainamaji, as some buses will stop there. The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Mainamaji, you can take a motorcycle taxi (okada) to the entrance of Yankari Game Reserve, which is about 15 minutes away. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride.
