From Barup Waterfall, head south on the main road towards Ogbunike. Follow the road for approximately 20 kilometers. You will pass through several small villages; make sure to keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Ogbunike. Upon arriving in Ogbunike, follow the signs to Ogbunike Cave, which is located on Ifite Road. There is a parking area near the entrance to the cave.

To reach Ogbunike Cave from Barup Waterfall via public transportation, first locate a bus or shared taxi heading towards Awka. You can find these at the main bus station in Barup Waterfall. After about a 30-40 minute ride, get off at Ogbunike Junction. From there, you can either walk or hire a motorcycle taxi (often called 'okada') for a short ride to the cave entrance on Ifite Road. Be prepared to pay a small fee (around 100-200 Naira) for the motorcycle taxi.
