Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the city center, start at the Oba Market. Head south on Sapele Road towards the Central Hospital. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the intersection with Akpakpava Road. Turn left onto Akpakpava Road and continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will then come to a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Ekenwan Road, and continue straight for about 2 kilometers. You will eventually see a sign for the Kingdom Oba Palace on your left. The Edo Heritage is located within the palace grounds.

  • Bicycle

    From the Benin City Central Park, head south on the main road towards Ring Road. Once you reach the Ring Road, take a right and cycle westward. Continue for about 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Ekenwan Road. Turn left onto Ekenwan Road and cycle for about 2 kilometers. You should see signage for the Kingdom Oba Palace. The Edo Heritage is located inside the palace complex.

  • Public Transport

    If you are near the New Benin Market, look for a bus heading towards the Ogogugbo area. Once on the bus, inform the driver you are going to the Kingdom Oba Palace. The journey should take about 15-20 minutes. After you disembark, walk toward the palace entrance, which is well marked. The Edo Heritage can be found inside the palace grounds.
