If you are traveling by car from any point in Itsekiri, head towards the Benin Road. Follow the Benin Road for approximately 30 kilometers. You will pass through Urhuoka town. Once you reach Urhuoka, look for the sign directing you to McCarthy Beach. Turn left onto the access road leading to the beach. The beach is located a short drive down this road and is well marked.

To reach McCarthy Beach via public transportation, first, find a local bus or taxi heading towards Urhuoka on Benin Road. The fare for this journey is typically around 200-300 Naira. Inform the driver that your destination is Urhuoka. Once you arrive in Urhuoka, you may need to take a motorcycle taxi (locally known as 'okada') for the last leg of your journey. The fare for the motorcycle taxi to McCarthy Beach should be around 100-150 Naira. Confirm the driver knows the location of McCarthy Beach before starting your ride.
